Community
Writers need to get out of the attic every once in a while, and writers’ organizations keep us (relatively) sane. Pamlico Writers’ Group, Beaufort County Arts Council, North Carolina Poetry Society, North Carolina Writers Network, and Alliance of Independent Authors make all our lives better.
In particular, I have loved weekly meetings with the Pamlico Writers’ Group. We meet every Tuesday for Open Mics, Critique Sessions, Prompt Writings, Author Panels, and Special Events. If you are within striking distance of Washington, NC, please join us!
Bookstores
Thank you, bookstores! You are the ones who take an interest, read, recommend, promote, and sell our books. You invite us in for book signings, readings, and discussions. You prop our books up on the counter and mention them to your clientele of avid readers. Bookstores small and large are the lifeblood of authors, both traditionally and independently published ones.
My books can be found at (or ordered from) any independent bookstore either directly or through Bookshop.org. Buying this way helps support independent bookstores. You can also find my books through any large online bookseller.

Readers
It takes a team to make a book, but without you, Dear Reader, a book would only be words on a page. You are the person, the mind, the imagination, that reads the words and sees what we writers were hoping you would see. Thank you for collaborating with us and helping us tell our stories. We promise to make it worth your while.
And please consider doing your favorite writers a favor: If you read a book you like, tell someone about it or take a moment to leave a review online (even if you bought the book directly from the author’s hands).
Your thoughts really matter. Stay in the conversation.
